ACT Center Loan Program
The Adaptive Computing Technology Center provides software and hardware loans as well as ergonomic products to Mizzou faculty, staff and students with disabilities and various related issues. If we have the product available, this program allows you to try it before purchasing it.
How it Works
- Make an appointment by calling (573) 884-2828.
- Our staff members will conduct a brief assessment or workstation analysis with you, to determine what product(s) will meet your needs.
- Fill out and sign a loaner agreement for the product(s).
- Try the equipment for the trial period.
- Return the equipment when the trial period has expired.
Depending on the type of loan, the trial period may be decided on a case by case basis.
Software
We offer an array of adaptive software (text-to-speech, magnification, voice dictation, etc.) to assist with learning disabilities, mobility issues and visual impairments. You may find a list of our software products under the learning, mobility or visual pages.
Hardware
We offer a broad range of hardware devices: ergonomic keyboards, mice, footrests and headset and desktop array microphones.
