MU-Specific Adaptive Services
The Adaptive Computing Technology Center is a department within the University of Missouri's Division of Information Technology. For general information on the technology that is offered to students specifically at MU, please refer to the Mizzou IT site.
In addition to our most popular services, adaptive assessments, training, ergonomic evaluations and web accessibility checks, the ACT Center also provides the students, faculty and staff at the University of Missouri the following services at no charge:
Adaptive Workstations
Specially configured adaptive computing workstations are available at several convenient sites, as well as in training room locations. Adaptive workstations have adjustable tables, scanners, trackballs, and popular adaptive software.

These locations are in addition to the training room locations at Memorial Union N-18 and Arts and Science 10A, and the Ellis library workstation.
Digital Textbooks
The Adaptive Computing Technology Center provides digital textbooks to individuals with disabilities. This service has been developed to convert printed text (such as textbooks) into electronic files. Students with disabilities can now access these files (books) anywhere, through a password protected server, via the Web. For more information see our Digital Textbooks page.

Equipment/Software Loans
The center is equipped with a large assortment of ergonomic mice and keyboards, trackballs, track pads, gel wrist rests for keyboards and mice, etc. We also can provide Braille, help you with digital formatting or enlarged print. If you are interested in a particular service or would like to make a loan request, please fill out a Service Request form.
